Call of Cthulhuson

Call of Cthulhuson is a monochrome first-person shooter game set within a nightmare. In order to succeed, you must navigate the forest, conduct dark rituals, and destroy the nightmare at its source.

This project was created as a submission for the 2023 InkJam held by the Game Development Club at Milwaukee School of Engineering. It was submitted under the "NIGHTMARE" category, so I had one month to complete it (although I procrastinated a lot, so most of the development happened in the last few weeks :P).

Some Notes

• This project was originally designed with slightly more complex graphics in mind, but has been optimized to run consistently on MSOE laptops with minor stuttering in some areas. That being said, please use the msoe_laptop_edition binaries and make sure battery saver is set to "Best performance" to avoid stuttering!
  • On the other hand, please use fullgfx versions if you have a computer capable of reliably running 3D applications.
• This game is best played with a mouse and keyboard. Please don't try to play with a track pad, it will be a miserable experience.
• Play with sound on to hear Aidan Riley's epic voice acting!
